Why so many holes?

Travertine is prone to holes and pitting, due to is honey- comb structure. Over time, with wear and foot abrasion, holes will begin to appear. Using a specialist system these holes can be filled using a very strong two part filler. Colours are matched on site by us to get the exact colour to match your stone. Once filled the repairs are smoothed down to finish these near invisible repairs.
Its Lost its Shine
As Travertine is one of the softer stones used to tile floors and walls, over time, high traffic areas can lose its shine. To regain its shine, the tiles have to be polished using complex diamond abrasives. These vary in grits and the smoother they become, the deeper the shine. We can create any finish you want, from a dull honed finish, to a perfect mirror finish
